camper hire Terms & conditions
Every person/persons hiring an INCLINE CAMPERS van agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
INCLUDED:
A fully-equipped camper, ready for use, complete with necessary items.
European coverage is available upon request, subject to an additional fee.
Full insurance coverage for up to two drivers (subject to specific terms). The standard excess is £500 for drivers aged 25-75, and £700 for drivers aged 23-24. The hirer is responsible for the excess amount in case of damage to the vehicle or third-party property. Additionally, the hirer is liable for windscreen repairs and any damaged tyres. Please note, personal belongings are not covered by the insurance.
Breakdown recovery services are included.
Complimentary off-road parking is provided for your vehicle (at the owner's own risk).
Mileage is capped at 300 miles per day. An additional fee of £0.50 per extra mile will apply.
The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of diesel. The camper must be returned with a full tank of fuel. If not, the cost of refuelling will be deducted from your security deposit (receipts available upon request).
Any trips to Northern Ireland must be confirmed with Incline Campers before booking.
You may request details of your proposed mileage and destination prior to booking.
EUROPEAN HIRE TERMS:
A minimum rental period of 7 nights is required for European travel.
An additional fee of £150 per week will apply for taking the camper abroad.
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
DRIVERS:
i) are not under the age of 23 or over 75 years of age.
ii) has held a full UK or EU licence for a minimum of two years.
iii) has not had their licence suspended for any period within the last three years. iv) has not been involved in more than one fault incident within the last three years. v) has no more than two convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction.
vi) has not obtained a BA, DD or UT conviction.
Driver is required to provide us with a copy of the photo card licence with the correct name and address on it and a passport photo if requested.

Online licence check – check someone’s driving licence information. Please note, DVLA licence checks can only be carried out on driving licences issued from mainland UK*

Cleared a traceable security deposit (BACS, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, etc.) • Signed rental agreement
From 1st August 2021, Green Cards will no longer be mandatory for driving within EU. Please ensure you arrange a VE103 certificate for hirers - gov.uk/taking-vehicles- out-of-uk/for-less- than-12-months
Additional criteria:
Must meet the specified age limits within your policy and have at least 2 years driving experience (Full UK, EU, AU, US, CA, NZ & SA licence types).
Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30’s, 3pts each) without referral. Single 4 point offences are acceptable without referral and subject to standard terms.
Single 6 point SP30, SP50 and CU80 convictions are acceptable subject to a £1000 excess. All other 6 points+ offences will require referral to the insurers.
No more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last three years. You must provide a total of two proofs of address from the following:

Hirers will need to sign a copy of this hire agreement on or before the hire date.
Please note, our insurance company can be flexible on the above criteria, so please fill in the booking enquiry and we shall check with them before accepting/declining your booking.
SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A refundable deposit of £500 is required (£700 for 23-24 year olds) either paid in advance via cleared cheque or on the day before the hire period starts through bank transfer. This deposit will be returned once the camper is returned to our location at the agreed time and date, in the same condition as when it was picked up — including a clean interior, all cooking equipment and appliances, and a full tank of diesel. Any damage, missing items, or breakages, including damage to any additional items rented (such as an awning or bike rack), will be deducted from the deposit. A detailed inventory and vehicle inspection report will be provided at the start of the hire period and checked at the end.
The camper will not be released without payment of the security deposit and proof of address, along with a valid driving licence (and passport, if required).
NOT PERMITTED:
● Incline Campers operate a strict No Smoking or Vaping policy in our campers. A £250 valeting charge will be deducted from the security deposit where there is evidence of smoking inside the hire vehicle.
● Any additional cleaning costs incurred due to smoking or vaping in the camper will be deducted from the security deposit
● Damage caused by smoking or vaping is not covered by the insurance, therefore the hirer will be liable for the full cost of repairs up to the value of the camper.
● No one-way rentals (Weddings may be considered dependent on van availability and availability of driver).
● The number of passengers is limited to the capacity stated in each hire vehicle specification.
● All motoring fines (e.g., speeding/parking fines and tolls) are the hirer’s responsibility.
● No unauthorised towing.
● Use of our van for mainstream music festivals e.g., Glastonbury is not permitted, and vehicles are fitted with trackers. We reserve to cancel the booking should we discover this was the hirer’s intention. Please enquire about smaller family-friendly festivals as this may be possible on special agreement.
● No Stag or Hen parties.
● STRICTLY NO DRIVING ONTO THE BEACH OR SANDY AREAS IN ANY CAMPER AS
IT CAN DAMAGE THE ENGINE and result in expensive repairs.● You should only use diesel fuel.
● Any evidence of damage caused by a Pet will be deducted accordingly from the security deposit.
The camper must be returned with a full tank of Diesel. Failure to do so, the cost to refill the Campervan will be deducted from your Security Deposit. (A receipt will be provided if requested).
CANCELLATION TERMS:
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking.
Cancellations made within 4 weeks of the hire date will result in the full booking fee being retained by Incline Campers. However, if a replacement booking is found for the same period, the full payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
Full payment is due 4 weeks before the hire date, and can be made via bank transfer or cheque. For last-minute bookings (less than 4 weeks before hire), full payment is required immediately, and cheque payments will not be accepted within 1 week of the hire date.
We strongly recommend purchasing holiday insurance to cover cancellation fees.
COLLECTION/RETURN:
Campers can be collected from 12pm on the day of hire. Please allow approximately 45 minutes for paperwork and camper walkthrough. The vehicle must be returned by 3pm on the agreed return date. If you are late, a fee of £20 per hour will apply, and any costs incurred from the delay will be passed on to the hirer.
BREAKDOWN COVER:
In the event of a breakdown, we have comprehensive breakdown assistance for our campers which will provide Roadside Assistance, Recovery and where no repair is possible within a reasonable time, Relay will be provided to our premises where a replacement van may be offered (subject to availability). If we are unable to replace your camper, we will refund your hire charge for any days remaining where total use of the vehicle has been lost (If the breakdown has been caused by driver neglect or misuse then no replacement camper or refund will be provided, and the hirer will be responsible for all costs incurred).
HOLIDAY INSURANCE:
We recommend that you take out suitable holiday insurance to cover any cancellation that may be incurred and any loss of personal possessions due to fire or theft damage to the camper as this is not covered by our insurance.
PERSONAL SAFETY:
We take safety seriously, but it’s the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that children are safely secured, particularly when using upper bunks.
Please refrain from using the gas stove to heat the camper, and always open a window when cooking.
Always turn off electrical heaters when not in use, and keep them off overnight.
Supervision is required around sharp items in the kitchen to ensure children's safety.
